The Torrente Aposa, or Aposa Torrent, is a 7 kilometre long Roman tunnel enclosing a natural stream passing right under the centre of Bologna and once supplyong the city's water. Underneath Via Rizoli once can clealry see the remains of a Roman bridge which was built on the Via Emilia.
